JAI PRAKASH VISHWAVIDYALAYA

Jai Prakash Vishwavidyala (JPV) was established at Chapra on November 22, 1990 by by Carving it out from the then Bihar University Muzaffarpur. The emblem of the university has a torch rising from an open book in a blue circle surrounded by a four petalled lotus, which is placed in a circle with green outline. These are ensconced by a light yellow colour border, which bears the name of the university and place in Devanagari. Below the seal on a banner its motto in Sanskrit ‘विद्या ददाति विनयम्’ (Narayan Pandit, 6, Hitopadesha) meaning ‘Knowledge Makes One Humble’ is inscribed. The torch symbolises enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; the open book symbolises education, knowledge and wisdom; the four petals of lotus symbolise greatest joy, natural pleasure, delight in controlling passion and blissfulness in concentration.

NORTH EASTERN INDIRA GANDHI REGIONAL INSTITUTE OF HEALTH AND MEDICAL SCIENCES The insignia of North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS) has a Staff of Caduceus entwined by a serpent crested by a flame of fire and surmounted by its tagline in Latin ‘Ad Scientia et Vita’ meaning ‘Towards Knowledge and Life’. The Staff is supported by green mountains with orange rising sun and its motto in Sanskrit ‘ज्ञानम् जीवनम् च प्रति’ meaning ‘Towards Knowledge and Life’. These are ensconced by a blue circle around which its name is written. This is supported by a pair of laurels. Below these motifs its acronym is written. The laurels refer to success, hard work and perseverance; the green mountains and the rising sun refer to the Northeastern region and the Staff refers to medicine and the medical profession.

KASHI TAMIL SANGAMAM The Ministry of Education, Government of India will organise 'Kashi Tamil Sangamam'- a month long programme from November 16, 2022 - to rediscover the centuries-old bond of knowledge and ancient civilizational linkage between Varanasi and Tamilnadu. The programme will be organised under the framework of 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat'. IIT-Madras and Banaras Hindu University are the hosting partners of this mega event. Its logo is a greyish blue pen supported on both sides by temple towers of Banaras and Tamilnadu. It is ensconced by a dark blue circular line and supported by a blue line depicting water. At the bottom ‘Kashi-Tamil Sangamam’ is written in Tamil, Hindi and English.

PURNEA UNIVERSITY Purnea University, Purnia was carved out of Bhupendra Narayan Mandal University, Madhepura on March 18, 2018 by an act of Bihar Assembly. The circular emblem of the university has a lotus leaf supporting an open book, a lotus and a rising sun crested by three motifs of humans. These have been circumscribed by its name in Devanagari and English divided by a pair of fish. THE BIHAR REGIMEN The Hindu, Buddhist and Muslim influences intermingled to produce a soldiery which was traditionally arms bearing, disciplined and deeply religious. The Bihar Regiment claims its origins from the sepoy battalions raised in 1758 by Clive at Patna. The Bihari or poorbia or purviah soldier thereafter continued to provide the backbone of The Bengal Infantry of the British. Its Regimental Centre is Danapur, Bihar and its Regimental insignia is the Ashoka lion. Its Regimental motto is ‘Karam Hi Dharam’ (Work is Worship) and its war cry is ‘Jai Bajrang Bali’ (Victory to Bajrang Bali)and ‘Birsa Munda Ki Jai’ (Victory to Birsa Munda).
