NORTH EAST FRONTIER TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY
The North East Frontier Technical University (NEFTU) is situated in Aalo of West Siang, a hilly and green district of Arunachal Pradesh. It is a State Private University established by the Act 11 of 2014 of the State Legislature, Arunachal Pradesh. NEFTU is sponsored by the Automobile Society of India, a registered charitable trust. The emblem of the university has a map of the State of Arunachal Pradesh placed inside a red colour gear. These are ensconced by a circular border in purple which carries the name of the university and the State. The circle is topped by a banner at the bottom which carries the partial name of the university. The gear wheel denotes interconnectedness; efficiency and precision; progress and advancement; synchronisation and timing and order and structure and the colour purple symbolises royalty, nobility, luxury, power, and ambition. The colour  also means wealth, extravagance, creativity, wisdom, dignity, grandeur, devotion, peace, pride, mystery, independence and magic.

The star refers to excellence and leadership; the rays emanating from the star refer to the institution's reach and impact; and the five triangles refer to the diverse fields of engineering. SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. All these are ensconced by a circular border and along the border the name of the university is written. The motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘विद्यया विन्दतेऽमृतम्’ (Verse 4 II, Kena Upanishad) meaning ‘By Self-knowledge Immortality is Attained’ is written at the bottom of the emblem.

WESTERN AIR COMMAND The origin of the Western Air Command can be traced back to the nascent years of independent India, when the various formations of the Air Force were organised into two groups. On July 22, 1949 the No 1 Operational Group was re-designated as the Operational Command. The Command assumed its present name of Headquarters Western Air Command on June 10, 1963. Headquarters Western Air Command, located at Subroto Park, New Delhi, has over 200 bases placed under its command and has been involved in all major operations in India since independence. Due to its geographical location the Command has always been the hub-centre of all operational activities during any operation. Its insignia has a ‘trishul’ and an eagle in the centre of a circle which is topped by India’s national emblem. Its motto in Sanskrit ‘Akashmasthseema’ in golden border is placed at the bottom.

THE TAMILNADU DR. M.G.R. MEDICAL UNIVERSITY The Tamil Nadu Medical University started functioning from July 1988. The emblem of the university symbolises various systems of medicine viz., medical, dental, Indian medicine, homoeopathy and allied health sciences. It also depicts the global character of preventive, promotive and curative medicine. The motto ‘Health for all’ reflects the objective of the medical university. The circular emblem has a caduceus, the staff of Hermes staff entwined with a snake with a backdrop of a banyan tree and crested by a sun has a yellow banner at the bottom which says in Tamil ‘நோயற்ற வாழ்வு’ meaning ‘A Disease-free Life’.

GOA MEDICAL COLLEGE, GOA (GMC GOA) The shield-shaped emblem of Goa Medical College, Goa (GMC Goa) features scenery of the coastline of Goa with sea, sun, mountains,  and coconut groves. On this background, the motifs of a Staff of Hermes is placed on an open book placed above a four pillared facade and supported by a pair of hands. Below the shield, on a blue banner the year of establishment of the college is inscribed. The shield refers to protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the Staff Caduceus the Staff of Hermes with a pair of entwined snakes and wings denotes medicine and medical profession; the book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; the facade with four pillars symbolises the bridge to heaven from earth and the pillar means strength, security of foundation and trustworthiness; and the hands refer to that of the college management.

UTTARAKHAND TOURISM DEVELOPMENT BOARD Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB) is the highest body to advise the Government on all matters relating to tourism in the State. The logo of the Board is based on Devanagari letter ‘उ’ drawn using four swooshes, in which the cyan represents the mountains, blue represents the rivers, red represents the temples of the land and green represents the forests. The logo, as a composite, looks bright, vibrant and enthusiastic, thereby inviting tourists to this State. Below this the name of the State is written. UTKALMANI GOPABANDHU INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING (UGIE) The emblem of Utkalmani Gopabandhu Institute of Engineering (UGIE) features a yellow circle placed in a blue gearwheel, inscribed with the motifs of a pump, a tractor in operation, an electrical transmission tower and a torch with flame supported by the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘नित्यं कुरु कर्म त्वम्’ (Verse 8,Chapter 3, Bhagavad Gita) meaning ‘You Always PerformYour Duty’. The gearwheel is surmounted by a red banner inscribed with the name of the college and supported by a blue banner inscribed with the name of the place of the college. The gearwheel denotes technology, engineering, interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; the torch with flame is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; and the other motifs refer to the subject disciplines of engineering and technology in operation.

UDAYANATH COLLEGE OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY (UCST) The blue emblem of Udayanath College of Science & Technology (UCST) features Urdhva Pundra - a tilak of a Vaishnava sect with its middle stroke depicted as a flame of fire. An abstract depiction of the holy river Prachi supports the tilak. The motifs are ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name of the college. The seal is placed on a decorated platform. The motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ (Yajnavalkya, 1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad) meaning ‘From Darkness Lead Me to Light’ is written is inscribed on the front side of the platform. Below this, the name of the place of college is written. The tilak symbolises humble surrender at the Lord's feet, spiritual purity, and divine protection from negative influences; the flame symbolises transformation, passion, purification, and divine knowledge; and the river refers to the nativity of the college.
