KHONGNANGTHABA UNIVERSITY

The Khongnangthaba University (KU) was established with the approval of the Government of Manipur under the provision of Manipur Private University Act No. 6 of 2021 through Gazette File No. 2/3/2021/Leg./L dated February 23, 2021. The seal of the university in yellow, green and blue colours has a tree with five leaves in balance, with leaves representing earth, fire, water, wind and metal supported by an open book denoting education, knowledge and wisdom and a pen symbolising freedom, intelligence, creativity, professionalism, determination and diligence. All these elements are ensconced in a green circular border with its name inscribed. The name of the university written in Manipuri surmounts the seal. At the bottom, on a blue banner, its motto 'Learning, Research & Knowledge' and its year of establishment are inscribed.

The logo of the university has two strokes of orange and green forming the shape of ‘U’ in tricolour and has a ‘Ashoka Chakra’ at its top. RAJIV GANDHI PROUDYOGIKI VISHWAVIDYALAYA Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) was established in the year 1998, by Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Act 13, 1998. Falcon, the mascot of RGPV, holding a scroll of a diploma certificate in its beak, portrays the engineers graduating from RGPV, with their infinite capabilities and specialised skills. The falcon holding a pen in one of its claws, symbolises the power of expression. Its armour is the manifestation of modern technology. Equipped with comprehensive knowledge and professional abilities, an engineer graduating from RGPV shall soar above and govern the universe with wisdom and creative ability. The paddy grasped by the other claw represents the productivity and consequent prosperity resulting from the efforts of the graduates in their profession. Its motto in Sanskrit ‘प्रज्ञानं ब्रह्म’ meaning ‘Wisdom is the Brahman’ is  inscribed on a red banner below the emblem.

UNIVERSITY OF JAMMU The University of Jammu (UoJ) came into existence in 1969 through the Kashmir and Jammu Universities Act 1969 following bifurcation of the erstwhile University of Jammu and Kashmir. The circular emblem of the university has an open book supporting a lotus with a background of mountains and surmounted by atomic structure. These are ensconced by a yellow circular border which carries its motto in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ (Yajnavalkya,1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad) meaning ‘From Darkness Lead me to Light’ on one side and its name in Kashmiri on the other side. The name of the university is written on A banner at the bottom. The open book denotes education, knowledge and wisdom; the lotus symbolises purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; the mountains represent the Himalayan Mountains and the atomic structure denotes science and science education.

SANT GAHIRA GURU VISHWAVIDYALAYA The circular emblem of Sant Gahira Guru Vishwavidyalaya (SGCG), formerly known a s Sarguja University has a circular border in orange and green and has its name, place and motto inscribed in Devanagari and supported by a pair of tribal ornaments. The motto is written in Sanskrit which is an extract from the Kathopanishad ‘विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते’, (Shloka 11, Ishopanishad) meaning ‘Immortality is Gained from Learning’. Inside the border, motifs of a drum, supported by a pair of horns; an open book topped by a red sun ; a banyan tree and a pair of crests of millets are placed.
