The emblem of Government Medical College & Hospital Omandurar (GMCOMU) features a Staff of Hermes or Staff of Caduceus with a pair of wings and entwined by a pair of serpents supported by a pair of hands and its address and its year of establishment. These are ensconced by a blue banner inscribed with the name of the college. The assemblage is supported by a blue banner inscribed with the motto of the college ‘Righteous Reverent Resilient’. The staff with the snake has long been a symbol of medicine and the medical profession. It originates from the story of Asclepius, who was revered by the ancient Greeks as a god of healing and whose cult involved the use of snakes. The supporting hands refer to the support for medicine and medical education.

The university's mission is to inculcate the essence of the Sanskrit Shloka ‘पदं हि सर्वत्र गुणैर्निधीयते’ meaning ‘Good Qualities Put their Footprints Everywhere’. It has eight red colour glow spikes. It is placed above a circle with a red outline. Its motto in Sanskrit ‘सिद्धिर्भवति कर्मजा’ (Shlok 12, Chapter 4, Bhagavad Gita) meaning ‘Success is Born of Action’ is placed above the monogram and the name of its place is placed below. The bank's tagline is 'Aapka Bank, Aapke Dwaar'. The logo of the bank has a red circle superimposed by three parallel yellow strokes in unequal lengths flowing freely, upwards. The red dot denotes the hub of the bank and the parent organisation - Department of Post and the yellow lines denote its reach to each and every household providing them banking services. Yellow represents warmth, speed and light. The strokes denote speed, efficiency and quality service. AT the right of the motif, its name is written in red serif font, the serifs of which face left. RV University is a State private university which has been established in Karnataka State with RSST as the sponsoring body through Act No.11 of 2019.
