The ICFAI University, Jharkhand was established under subsection (2) of Section 4 of The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India Act , 2006 (Jharkhand Act 08, 2007). The university is recognised by UGC under section 2(f) of UGC Act, 1956 and is empowered by UGC to award degrees under section 22 of UGC Act, 1956. The logo of the university has the acronym of its name written in capital slab serif font in blue colour, supported by a red banner on which ‘University’ is written. Below this ‘Jharkhand’ is written in black. Its motto ‘Grooming Professionals. With Values’ is written in blue and red. The colour red represents passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration and the colour blue denotes trust, character and integrity.

Kalakshetra Foundation as it is known today was recognised by the Government of India as an Institute of National Importance by an Act of Parliament in 1993 and is now an autonomous body under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. GOVERNMENT ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE, PAPPIREDDIPATTI (GASCPRP) The emblem of Government Arts and Science College, Pappireddipatti (GASCPRP) features shield housing the motifs of the king Athiyaman interacting with poet Avvaiyar, an open book with rising sun and two abstract humans, a tree held by a pair of hands, a computer and an image of Vaniyar Dam, ensconced by a purple circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college. At the bottom, a banner inscribed with the motto of the college in Tamil ‘‘கற்றனைத் தூறும் அறிவு’ (Thiruvalluvar, 396, Thirukkural) meaning ‘Knowledge Grows As Much As One Learns’ is inscribed is placed on the seal. Athiyaman and Avvaiyar refer to history and heritage; the book, sun and the humans refer to education and educational achievement; the tree refers to nature, sustenance and growth; the computer refers to technology; and the dam refers to the local landmark.
