AURO UNIVERSITY OF HOSPITALITY AND MANAGEMENT
AURO UNIVERSITY OF HOSPITALITY AND MANAGEMENT |
Inspired by the vision and teachings of Sri Aurobindo Ghosh and The Mother, Rama family established the Auro University of Hospitality and Management (AUHM) in 2011 through The Gujarat Private Universities (Amendment) Act, 2011. The emblem of the university has the motif of Sri Aurobindo Ghosh and The Mother, a hexagram with lotus motif inside in an orange background and a lotus motif with twelve petals on which it is placed. At its right its name is written in crisp sans serif font. At the bottom its motto ‘Integral & Transformational Learning’ is written on a blue banner. The hexagram symbolises spiritual oneness and in Hinduism it is known as shatkon, six faces or shanmukha and it is considered the union of Shiv (Male) and Shakti (Female). They are both combined to form a hexagram, which represents the origin or the formation of life. The lotus symbolises purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty. The colour blue symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty and the colour orange denotes energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness.
