The emblem of Stanley Medical College (SMC) features a Staff of Hermes or Staff of Caduceus entwined by a pair of serpents and crested by lotus supported by a banner inscribed with the name of the college. The staff with the snake has long been a symbol of medicine and the medical profession. It originates from the story of Asclepius, who was revered by the ancient Greeks as a god of healing and whose cult involved the use of snakes. The lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty.

UTTARAKHAND RESIDENTIAL UNIVERSDITY Uttarakhand Residential University (URU) also called Uttarakhand Aawasiya Viswavidyalaya came into existence on September 6, 2016 by the Act No.20 of the State of Uttarakhand. Its logo is circular with a shield, a banner and a blue border. The shield and the banner are placed inside the border on a tricolour background. The shield has a blue border and is crested with a red rising sun from the Himalayan Mountains, which are supported by an open book with a pen and bulb on it. Below this a ball of flowers is placed. At the bottom of these is a banner carrying its motto and year of establishment is placed. All the natural elements depict the geography of the State of Uttarakhand. NATIONAL LAW INSTITUTE UNIVERSITY The National Law Institute University (NLIU) has been established by Act No. 41 of 1997 of the Madhya Pradesh Legislature to fill the gap and provide the most modern legal education through multidisciplinary teaching and training of newer skills needed for the profession. The University launched its first academic programme in 1998. The red circular emblem of the university has its acronym written in the middle, topped by a yellowish drop of enlightenment, knowledge, wisdom and realisation.
