BABA FARID UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES

Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) was established in the memory of great Sufi Saint Baba Farid by the Punjab Government under an Act passed by the Legislature of the State of Punjab in July, 1998. The emblem of the university has a portrait of Baba Farid circumscribed by a thick green border carrying its year of establishment. It is supported by a pair of Caduceus or the Staff of Hermes with a pair of entwined serpents and wings representing medicine and medical profession. Below the circle on a green banner its name is written in Punjabi. Below these its place is written in Punjabi and its name and place in English. Surmounting the emblem is its motto in Punjabi ‘ਅਉਖਦ ਆਏ ਰਾਸਿ ਵਿਚਿ ਆਪਿ ਖਲੋਇਆ’ (Phunhay Guru Arjan Dev, (M 5) (23):2 - Guru Granth Sahib: Part 1363 pages. 14) meaning ‘The Medicines are Effective, when the Lord Himself stands in their Midst’. The colour green represents agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.

UTTARANCHAL UNIVERSITY Uttaranchal University has come a long way since its inception in 2013 providing world class multidisciplinary education. The university's mission is to inculcate the essence of the Sanskrit Shloka ‘पदं हि सर्वत्र गुणैर्निधीयते’ meaning ‘Good Qualities Put their Footprints Everywhere’. The logo of the university has a blue and green abstract pictorial of ‘U’ and on its right a wordmark of its name in capitals thin serif letters with smooth transition of strokes.
