The Bhupal Nobles' University has been constituted through the approval of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly under the University Act No. 23 of 2015. This university is sponsored by Vidya Pracharini Sabha which was established in 1923 and is one of the oldest educational societies in the country. The emblem of the university is a spread out lotus with eighteen petals in golden housing the motifs of rising sun and flowing waters and its motto in Sanskrit ‘तेजस्विनावधीतमस्तु’ (Dialogue between Nachiketa and Yamacharya, 19, Canto 3, Part 3, Katha Upanishad, Krishna Yajur Veda) meaning ‘May Our Study be Vigorous and Effective’ on a blue circle. Below the seal, on an elaborate red banner with a golden outline the name and place of the university is written. The lotus symbolises purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; the rising sun symbolises light, universal prosperity and path for growth and the flowing water denote life, freedom, a path and the passage of time.
